The top direct health care provider in the US has established a nearby wellness centre in Northbrook, Illinois. The company’s nearsite network of 14 markets will now include employees and dependents from Allstate and other nearby employers, improving care accessibility in the Chicago area.
Since 2011, when Premise Health started managing the on-site wellness facility at our Northbrook office, Allstate has had a trusted relationship with the company, according to Melissa Rinker, Director of Benefits Design and Planning at Allstate. “We’re excited that Premise Health created a new close-by wellness centre because the majority of our staff now work remotely. Our Northbrook-area employees will continue to have access to the superior, individualised, and reasonably priced medical care that they had for more than 11 years.”
As part of a long-term, strategic initiative to expand the Premise nearsite network, services are being expanded in Chicago, Atlanta, and other significant markets across the United States. Premise will continue to work with companies to attract members to its already established wellness centres as part of nearsite expansion initiatives scheduled for 2023, including many additional sites in the Chicago market. More specialised nearsite primary care sites are operated by Premise for employers than by any other provider in the nation, and demand is increasing.
According to Stu Clark, chief executive officer of Premise, “employers and industry watchers recognise that health care costs, already unsustainable, are poised to increase significantly in 2023 and beyond as hospitals and health systems renegotiate their contracts with insurers and pass on their own rising costs for labour and other supplies.” “By utilising the primary care team to focus on the whole patient and by directing them to the greatest quality, highest value facilities in the neighbourhood, our model reduces overall health care spending. The average cost of employer-provided health insurance for a family in 2022 will be around $22,000 per year.
Premise has 16 onsite and nearsite wellness facilities in the Chicago region that are exclusive to one employer, in addition to the Northbrook location that will be used by several employers. More than 265,000 lives, including dependents, are insured for 13 area organisations, including big, self-funded businesses and Taft-Hartley funds.
